Minimal-Prep and Traditional Veneers
Traditional porcelain veneers can enhance your smile by concealing flaws and conspicuous spaces between teeth. With traditional veneers, Dr. Van Dyke will prepare your teeth and take impressions. He will place temporary veneers, which will allow you to preview your new smile. You will return for final placement of your handcrafted porcelain veneers after we receive them from our dental lab. In just two or three visits, you can enjoy a beautiful new smile.
With minimal-prep veneers, little, if any, tooth modification is required. Removing this preparatory step means that you won’t need anesthetic, and Dr. Van Dyke can immediately begin improving your smile. Patients with sensitivity issues or small teeth may be better suited for minimal-prep veneers. In some cases, minimal-prep veneers aren't the best solution. As your cosmetic dentist, Dr. Van Dyke will assess your records and consult with you on the best solution.
